The Clothes Closet

The Clothes Closet is a "boutique" which is open two days a month, usually the FIRST and THIRD Saturdays of each month from 10:00am to 12 noon. The Clothes Closet offers FREE clothing (men's, women's, and children's plus shoes and accessories) to folks in our community. Volunteers help in the store and also meet other days during the month to sort and hang clothes. If you are interested in participating, contact Karen Wellman at [email protected].

Tutoring at Barrett Elementary
(ACTS Program)

The ACTS Program is weekly tutoring session with 1st graders at Barrett Elementary School in Homestead, PA. Each Wednesday, members of the congregation gather at the school to tutor over 30 1st grade students. Not only does this ministry interact with the children of Barrett, but also the parents, too! If you are interested in becoming a tutor, please contact the church.

8th Avenue Place

8th Avenue Place is a Christian community that confronts ignorance which perpetuates racism by living and ministering together in the name of Jesus Christ. God has given us the ministry of reconciliation and we will work to show that as Jesus, God is for us and not against us. Therefore we must be for each other.

Senior citizen luncheon

FREE luncheon available to all senior citizens the second Tuesday of every month. Each luncheon takes place in the social hall. It is a time for food, fellowship, and fun with members of the community. Some luncheons will feature special guest speakers on various topics that benefit senior citizens. Please contact the church for any questions or if you are interested in volunteering.

One valley free store

Open the FIRST and THIRD Saturday of each month during the Clothes Closet open hours. Operated by the Munhall C.A.R.E.S, the One Valley Free Store provides household and personal items for those in need for free to help support the community.
